In the latter case, it is your responsibility to ensure that your stopover (&#8220;transit time&#8221;) is long enough for you to catch your onward flight. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have purchased your tickets from an airline or ticket agent (e.g. flybillet.dk), and it is the airline or ticket agent that has arranged the trip, it is generally not your responsibility if there is not enough time to get from one flight to another. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be aware, however, that you may have purchased separate flight tickets, even if you bought your tickets from a ticket broker who put the trip together. This is (possibly) the case if the ticket agent has given the individual flights different reservation numbers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is another reason why we ALWAYS recommend that you avoid ticket brokers completely when buying airline tickets. We&#8217;ve written a lot more about this <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/flyadvokaten.dk\/en\/blog\/2024\/08\/28\/where-should-you-buy-your-flight-tickets-good-to-know-when-buying-airline-tickets-through-a-ticket-broker\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you don&#8217;t find your connecting<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">flight<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; perhaps because your first flight is delayed and the transit time is too short &#8211; you should contact the airline immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The airline is obligated to help you on your journey if you have purchased a package deal with a direct connecting flight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advice for you about stopovers on your flight<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Never book your flights with a ticket agent &#8211; your rights are far worse than if you book directly with the airline itself;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you make your own travel arrangements, you should pay close attention to allowing enough time for transit. On the airport&#8217;s website you can see what the minimum transit time should be;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you check in for your first flight, ask to have your luggage checked in all the way. That way you won&#8217;t have to spend time picking up your luggage and checking it in again during the stopover;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, ask to be checked in all the way and make sure you get boarding passes for the connecting flight as well &#8211; this can also save you from long queues;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The less hand luggage you have to handle on the stopover, the better. Remember that during the stopover you may have to go through another security check;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Get your bearings before you land in transit. On the airport&#8217;s website, you can find a map of the airport showing where the different terminals and gates are located in relation to each other. Plan the best way to get from one gate to the other, AND<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your first flight is delayed, making it difficult for you to catch your connecting flight, you may want to contact the cabin crew on the first flight.
