Air France cancellation or delay?
When are you entitled to compensation from Air France in case of a cancellation?
You may be entitled to compensation from Air France if your flight is canceled, unless:
1) you have been notified of the cancellation by Air France at least two weeks before the scheduled departure time; or
2) Air France notified you of the cancellation between two weeks and seven days before the scheduled departure time, and Air France offered you a re-routing so that you can depart no more than two hours before the scheduled departure time and arrive at your final destination no later than four hours after the scheduled arrival time; or
3) You have been notified of the cancellation by Air France less than seven days before the scheduled time of departure and have been offered re-routing so that you can depart no more than one hour before the scheduled time of departure and arrive at the final destination no later than two hours after the scheduled time of arrival.

Flight compensation rules
The rules on flight compensation are set out in Flight Regulation (EC) 261/2004.
If the conditions for flight compensation from Air France are met, you are entitled to either DKK 1,865 (€250), DKK 2,985 (€400) or DKK 4,500 (€600) in compensation if your Air France flight is canceled.
This applies regardless of where or with whom you bought the flight tickets. You are also entitled to compensation if you purchased a charter flight or other package tour.
The destination determines how much flight compensation you are entitled to – the further you have to fly with Air France, the greater the compensation. For example, if your trip from Denmark is to Crete, Mallorca or Malaga (or the opposite direction), you’re entitled to around DKK 2,985 (equivalent to €400).

About Air France
Air France was founded in 1933 and was for many years the national French airline.
In 2004, Air France became part of Air France-KLM, which operates the two airlines Air France and KLM (in Dutch: “Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij”) or “KLM Royal Dutch Airlines”. Founded in 1919, KLM is the world’s oldest airline still operating under its original name.
Despite the “merger”, Air France and KLM continue to operate under separate companies and names. Air France-KLM is today Europe’s largest airline with 64 million passengers. Air France-KLM is – together with Delta Air Lines and Alitalia, among others – part of the SkyTeam alliance.
The company is headquartered at Aéroport Paris-Charles de Gaulle near Paris, France, and the French state owns 44% of the merged company.
