Claiming flight compensation from EasyJet?
What to do if EasyJet cancels your flight
In the event of a flight cancellation, you have some rights. For example, according to Article 8 of the Air Regulation, you have the right to choose whether you want your flight ticket to be reimbursed or re-routed.
If you choose to have your flight ticket refunded, you must do so within 7 days.
If you choose re-routing, EasyJet is obliged to re-route you under comparable transport conditions to your final destination.
If EasyJet does not assist you with the rerouting and you make alternative travel arrangements yourself, you can claim your expenses for new airline tickets.
If EasyJet cancels your trip and your flight is less than two weeks away from your scheduled departure, you may also be entitled to flight compensation.
How much flight compensation are you entitled to from EasyJet?
If you suffer an EasyJet delay of more than 3 hours or a cancellation of your EasyJet flight, you are entitled to up to €4,500 in flight compensation from EasyJet. If four of you have purchased airline tickets together, you can have a total claim for compensation from EasyJet of up to 18,000 kr.
