How much flight compensation can I get from Norwegian?
Compensation is a form of compensation for flight delays or cancellations.
You are entitled to either 1,865 kr. (250 Euro), 2,985 kr. (400 Euro) or 4,500 kr. (600 Euro) in flight delay compensation.
The amount of compensation you can claim from Norwegian depends on the length of your trip.
For example, if your flight to Mallorca with Norwegian is delayed for 3 hours or more, you are entitled to DKK 2,985 (400 Euro).
If there are four of you in your family, you have a total claim of almost 12,000 kr. (1,600 Euro) in compensation for the flight delay with Norwegian.
The same is true if you experience an overbooked Norwegian flight that causes you to be denied boarding.
Flight compensation in case of a strike?
In March 2015, Norwegian was hit by an airline pilot strike, resulting in many canceled flights.
The European Court of Justice has since ruled that it is not an “exceptional circumstance” if airline staff go on strike. This means that you are entitled to compensation for canceled flights due to a strike.
