Does the Aircraft Regulation apply outside Europe?
Fortunately, you have some rights according to Regulation (EC) 261/2004. Regulation (EC) 261/2004 if your Qatar Airways flight is delayed for 3 hours or more.
However, since Qatar Airways is not a European airline, your right to flight compensation depends on the delay occurring from an airport in Europe.
If you are delayed on your return flight from Doha, for example, you are not covered by the Air Regulation, and therefore you are not entitled to flight compensation in such a situation.
